About us...

During the Spring of 1990, Ken Cormell was looking for a place to take square dance lessons. He had friends who were looking for a place to learn. As a new member of Loom 2020 he saw an excellent opportunity and contacted Art Wilson, a 0caller he had known from his earlier square dance days. Art was more than happy to come and an agreement was made with LOOM 2020. Thursday night was chosen as an available evening and so it began. Fees were set at $5.00 per couple with $1.00 donated to the Lodge to be donated to Moose Heart, an orphanage sponsored by Moose International.

A good turnout showed that many were interested and the lessons began. We were slow but steady as most of us had never square danced before. We worked  hard with the help of some "angels" such as Lee Vincent, a friend of Ken.  By summer we were ready to host our first dance, a 34 Basic Hoedown on July 29th!
